Thattathin Maryathil

I happened to watch this movie on Sunday. Let me get this clear - though i am a sucker for romance, i am at times extremely critical of love at first sight. Unfortunately, Sunday was one such day so this review could be biased.

A typical brainless cliche love story between a Muslim girl and a Hindu boy. Despite the predictable story line (or the lack of one), the movie is well made. The only flip side is the lack of attempt to tie up loose ends. But the director more than makes up for it by having a quick ending with a decent screenplay.

The music is brilliant and there are quite a few hummable songs. The lead hero has done a very good job and you cant help but root for his puppy love, no matter how silly it is. The heroine is pretty and looks like Katrina Kaif. :) The other cast do not have much of a role but do a good job in the scope that they have. Apart from the good acting, the movie also has a lot of clean humour and is pretty enjoyable that way.

It is definitely worth a first time watch if you like romantic movies. The music is a must hear though. :)
