Monet in my backyard

I go for a walk every evening in this lake near my place. Yesterday, since I was planning on coming back home late, I went for a walk in the morning. The lotus, which is usually closed then, was open and looked so beautiful I could understand why Monet kept painting his garden.

You observe well! After reading your post, googled & found about the water lillies that Monet drew.. surprising is n't it.. why he would draw so many pictures with the same theme.. as you say, he must have fallen in love with them! The mind of an artist works in marvellous ways, it seems.

I recently met a male teacher who has spent some 30 years learning & teaching bharatham, yoga, kuchipudi, kalari martial art, chhau dance, theatre.. has travelled to all parts of the country to learn these from the best people in that art form. Now he spends all his time teaching.. it's almost like he has devoted his life to art.. yes, there are many other people like that..

Am stumped by their minds..

I fell in love with Monet. I've one of his lilies in my bedroom (not the original of course). I'm thinking if I should also do something like that teacher. You've given me some food for thought.

Love with Monet!! Well, nice to hear. My eyes & neurons lack that level of intelligence to appreciate a Monet or Picasso..!

All the best for the next 25 years! :)

Monet and Picasso belong to two different schools. :) I got to know this quite recently. But honestly, I could never appreciate art until recently and you don't need intelligence for it. You just need something that connects you with it. You can never know what it will be. :)
